Nirass was the creation of Annie Jenks (guitar, vocals) and brothers Michael Nickras (keyboard and vocals) and James Nickras (percussion and vocals). Recording of the band's only album (a mini album) took place over the span of a week in the summer of 1993. The group disbanded (unofficially) the following summer as Mike and Jim formed Stü Art.
